May 2016
Dear Charter School Supporter,
It has been a successful few weeks for the charter school and parent choice movement in the Legislature, with anti-charter, anti-choice bills stalling in committees. Thank you to all of our parents, charter school leaders, and school choice partners for staying engaged throughout session -- your presence at the Capitol, your testimonies, and your emails to legislators truly made a difference in protecting charter schools from harmful bills. Though we still have a few weeks left to go in session, I want to express my thanks to all of you for standing with us thus far.
As we head towards the end of the 2015-16 school year, LAPCS is preparing training opportunities through our signature programs The Top Shelf and The Bottom Line to provide you with more support on charter school governance and operations. Please read below for information on upcoming events, as well as a very important reminder on an ethics deadline coming up at the end of this week.
