New Student Orientation is taking place on campus! As our newest Jaguars arrive, we encourage everyone to help create a welcoming environment by offering assistance, sharing a friendly hello, and helping them feel at home.

Volunteers are needed to help residents move into their new campus home and assist with other duties. Please note: volunteers may be required to spend some time working outside. 

The majority of volunteers will help with a valet-style drop-off of items at the curb, with cars immediately leaving to go park in designated lots. Volunteers will load students' belongings into bins at the curb, take them to their rooms, unload their items, and repeat the process throughout the day.

All volunteers will receive a move-in guide and must attend a volunteer orientation before move-in day.

Patriots Casa, Room 110

The General's Store is an emergency food pantry dedicated to reducing hunger among students by providing nutritious food at no cost. To make an appointment, email food.pantry@tamusa.edu or call 210-784-1356 with at least a two-hour notice. 

TAMUSA Dining will have three open locations on campus and will operate on limited hours throughout the summer. 

Strategic Communications has updated Rule 09.02.01.O1, Official Messaging and Mass Communications, as part of our regular review process and to align with Texas A&M University System Regulation 09.02.01.

The rule continues to guide how we use official University mass communication channels, like campus‑wide emails. While the language has been updated, there are no major changes to current practices.

Please take a moment to review the Rule and reach out to StratComm@tamusa.edu if you have questions. The process for mass communications, via submission through the Strategic Communications Request Form, has not changed.

The A&M–SA Leadership Academy program is now accepting applications for the upcoming cohort. This three-year interactive leadership development program is designed to explore leadership topics, strengthen existing leadership skills, and build a foundation for effective and influential higher education leaders. Participants will meet once a month over nine months each year (September–May) through engaging presentations, discussions, and activities.

Applications are open through June 25, 2026.

Dr. O. Volkan Ozbek, assistant professor of management at Texas A&M University–San Antonio, has been awarded a prestigious Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program award for 2026–2027, becoming the first faculty member in University history to earn the distinction while serving at A&M-San Antonio. During the spring 2027 semester, he will teach and collaborate at Management Center Innsbruck in Austria, sharing U.S. perspectives on business while building international partnerships and bringing global insights back to his students.

The University Esports program reached a major milestone in 2026 as the Jaguar Overwatch team qualified for the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) National Championship, finishing tied for seventh place among the nation’s top collegiate teams. The Jaguars earned their spot at nationals through a strong postseason run and showcased their talent on one of collegiate esports’ biggest stages, with their opening match streamed to more than 100,000 viewers. 

The University softball team completed one of the most successful seasons in program history in 2026, finishing 26-18 overall and earning another appearance in the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament. Fueled by a strong offensive production and standout performances from players such as Kaylee Barlow, Samara Aguilera, Kristianna Luera, and Krisilyn Corral, the Jaguars also had several All-Conference honors and postseason victories, with head coach Nicole Dame securing her 200th career win. 

A&M-San Antonio marketing students earned a second-place finish at the 2026 Campaign in a Day competition, showcasing their creativity and professional skills while developing a marketing campaign for House of Neighborly Service, a San Antonio nonprofit. The competition provided valuable real-world experience and networking opportunities, reinforcing the University’s commitment to experiential learning and preparing students for successful careers in marketing and business.

Transition University’s mission is to offer a fully inclusive university experience for students with intellectual disabilities by providing them with access and opportunities to the same services, programs, and courses as other Texas A&M University-San Antonio students.
