CAC Alumnus Cameron Gilliam Wins National Television Competition for Dancing, Singing & Acting

Alumnus (2009) Cameron Gilliam is the perfect example of a “CAC Lifer.” For the entirety of his pre-college education (from the first day of PreK, until the day he walked across the stage at graduation) Gilliam attended Central Arkansas Christian Schools.
In middle school and high school his interests could be characterized in two categories: music and sports. He was a member of multiple teams over many years, and played percussion in multiple bands – on and off campus. But it was the moment after performing in a school talent show that he says changed his life forever.
“As soon as I got off of the stage, I remember this exhilaration that I had never felt before,” Gilliam said. “I remembering being absolutely ecstatic. It was the first moment where I realized I loved storytelling and inspiring people with an artistic presentation.”

Q&A with 7th grader Miracle Jones, who recently published a book.
What inspired you to write this book?
I wrote this book because my GranGran had cancer, and I know how it feels when you first hear the news. I wanted to give kids something they could read so they could relate to it.
What was the process like?
It was exciting! I had never really done something like this before, except for school. It was really exciting to have it published and do all of the editing and stuff.
How did you feel when the book was released?
I was so excited and giddy, but I couldn’t be loud because I was in study hall!
What is your hope for this book?
That I can get my word out, and that when my next book comes out more people will know about it. And all of our proceeds go to St. Jude’s, so I want to raise enough money to help the kids there.

For the first time, our annual Track Attack celebration took place in the winter semester. Thanks to the hard work of Chad Tappe and many others, all three campuses were treated to dodgeball and well-planned fun!

"CAC was my home from 7th-12th grade, my brother's home from 3rd-12th grade, and is now home to my twin girls in 7th grade! We absolutely love CAC!!!"
