On Friday, May 9th, 2025, the Department of Campus Safety received a report of a burglary that occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m., at Rogers Hall, in Brooklyn.

The victim, an NYU community member, reported a theft from a secured locker located at 6 MetroTech. The employee stated that they locked their belongings at approximately 1:00 PM. Upon returning at 4:20 PM, they observed that some items inside the locker had been moved, and two boxes that were previously inside a backpack were found placed on a locker shelf.
Notably, the lock used to secure the locker appeared to be intact, and there were no visible signs of forced entry.
Upon further inspection, the individual discovered that an assortment of gold and silver jewelry, was missing from their backpack.
