Coming Together to Support Our Mission
|
On Saturday, February 7, students from Florida State University and members of the Tallahassee community united for the 2nd Annual Winter Walk Tallahassee, a powerful morning of compassion, solidarity, and action to help end homelessness in our community.
Thank you to all members of our community who joined us to walk to end homelessness. The 2026 Annual Winter Walk raised close to $5,000 to support our mission.

Why We’re Here
One client reminded us why this work matters when he arrived, unsure of himself and skeptical that anything in his life could change. He struggled to engage at first, but with steady encouragement, structure, and support, he began setting goals, taking ownership of his future, and believing in his own potential. That growth ultimately led him into stable housing and reinforced that our role isn’t just to provide resources, it’s to walk alongside people as they build lasting change.

A Story of Progress
A young man who came to us last summer after losing housing with family faced serious mental health challenges that made him doubt his ability to work and stay in the program. With collaborative advocacy and support from his case managers, he was given a second chance, which helped him secure a job and move closer to permanent housing. Along the way, he has also begun rebuilding his relationship with his mother, creating a stronger support system and a more hopeful path forward.
