*FINAL CALL for Tri-County 4-H Camp
We are excited to have 43 campers, counselors and adults registered to attend our Tri-County 4-H camp in June at Camp Lakota. I know we have had a few questions about registration. After you sign up in 4-H Online, you should complete the health form and send your registration fee to the Extension office in Dodge Co. When we receive it, we approve you in 4-H Online and you get a follow up message with packing lists and more. We anticipate sending you more information in May.
Camp Counselors from Dodge County include: Emma Adsit, Veronica Richards, Allyson Roberts, Evelyn Schwoerer, and Sara Witzel. Adult Staff includes Chuck Crave, Eva and Jessie Lynch, Jason Luedtke, Heather and Jessica Rynearson, Lisa Schwartz, and Penny Seaver. Cliff, one of the camp directors at Camp Lakota is a Waukesha County 4-H Alum, worked at Upham Woods and is now at Camp Lakota. We are all looking forward to seeing Dodge County members at camp this summer!
The camp counselors met last weekend and planned a fun movie themed camp experience. From an all-camp scavenger hunt, to nightly s'mores, to themed cabins, to swimming, to gaga ball - this camp will have it all! Don't delay, register today!

4-H Summer Intern Position

Reports to: UW Extension Department Head
Status: Part Time Seasonal (June – August) Approximately 32 hrs/week
Special Instructions: Cover Letter & Resume required with application
This position will be responsible to the 4-H Youth Development Educator programmatically and to the 4-H Program Assistant, Family Living Educator and Agriculture Educators on projects and activities in their field.

Market Livestock IdentificationTag requests may be made to 920-386-3790 starting April 17th.
The Dodge County Meat Animal Sale Committee will be identifying Youth Market Beef, Market Sheep, Market Swine and Feeder Beef for the Dodge County Fair between Monday, April 17 and 4:30 pm on Friday, May 5, with an in-person request and pick-up day on April 29th. Junior Fair Market Beef, Sheep and Swine will be identified through tagging, DNA collection, and a 2023 Google Exhibitor/Family registration form. See the 2023 Junior Market Livestock ID letter HERE.

Dodge County 4-H Member Experience Applications
Summer Academy June 19-22, 2023 for 7th-10th grade Youth will have the opportunity to sign up for one of seven different track options for Summer Academy. Check out track descriptions and registration information HERE.
Registration opens April 1 - 30, 2023. Cost $350. National 4-H Congress November 24-28, 2023 for 9th-12th grade. Registration opens May 1, 2023. Cost ~$1,350

Area Animal Science DaysRegional animal science educational opportunities are available to Wisconsin 4-H members. This is a series of two day-long events held around the state in June. Youth members in beef, dairy, horse, sheep and swine projects will work on their decision making skills and knowledge of animals through judging and grading experiences.

Part-Time Entry Clerk Position Available
There is an opportunity available to be the Entry Clerk for the Dodge County Junior Fair. This is a flexible part-time position beginning as soon as possible and going through the Fair. The position will be housed in the Administration Building prior to the Fair.
It is a paid position. This person will be responsible for working with the online entries and entry fees, printing the summary sheets for the superintendents, printing the entry tags and judging sheets, entering results, running publicity and DATCP reports, printing checks, and other entry-associated tasks.
