New stories from IUP students and alumni come to life on stage as Theater-by-the-Grove presents the New Work Festival, a series of short pieces that will surprise and entertain audiences and perhaps inspire some thoughtful discussions as well. Shows run April 6 to 10. Get your tickets online, by calling the ticket office, or at the door.
8:00–9:00 p.m., DiCicco Hall, Cogswell 121. Enjoy the driving beat of the drums and smooth sounds of marimbas at this high-energy concert. Free admission.
Noon Vitalant Blood Drive Center for Multicultural Student Leadership and Engagement
6:00 a.m., Board bus at Kovalchick Complex. IUP international students and families are invited for an all-day visit to the nation’s capital. Contact the Office of International Education to sign up and pay the small fee to attend.
Noon–3:00 p.m., Toretti Auditorium, Kovalchick Complex. Tour the poster session to learn about the fascinating research done by IUP’s women in STEM fields and listen to keynote speaker, microbiologist Kelly Tretter.
9:45–11:00 a.m., Eberly Auditorium. Sherry Ulsh ’81, a financial executive at the Hershey Company and a founder of the Women’s Leadership Forum at Burger King Corporation, will give a talk as part of the Stover Endowed Business Speaker Series.
11:30 a.m. Crimson Scholars Circle Center for Multicultural Student Leadership and Engagement
9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., Kovalchick Complex. Discover the student research and creative endeavors on display at this annual event. Explore the poster presentations and juried art exhibit and listen to student oral presentations.
