Enjoy food at Smith’s Coffee and Eats Cafe

Come to Smith Memorial Student Union (SMSU or ‘Smith’) for breakfast or lunch! This term, the student union has a new coffee shop, operated by the folks from Bowery Bagels, and a food court of new menu options. Try Ace Sushi, Kunniq’s Gourmet Sausage (pro tip: try the fries!) and shawarma Spot (with the items you love from their 4th Avenue cart). The coffee shop (8 a.m.) and Bowery Bagels (7 a.m.) open early. The Smith’s Kitchen food court is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 2 p.m. on Fridays. These eateries all take Dining Dollars!

Write your story at PSU

Are you interested in capturing your family’s story in writing? The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art (JSMA) at PSU is offering writing workshops this quarter that will guide participants in writing personal stories about family relationships, first and second-generation experiences, and immigration. No previous writing experience necessary. This workshop is Thursday, Oct. 19 at 5 p.m. — it will be led by Jessica Yen, a third-generation Chinese-American whose work explores the intersection of memory, family, culture, language, identity, and history.
