A message from the Dean
It has been a monumental year for the Business School and its incredible community.
We've been fortunate to welcome our domestic and international students back to campus full-time, where I have been energised by the teaching, events and seeing students once again engaged in wonderful clubs and societies at our main campus.
We also celebrated impressive results in this year's rankings with our
Master of Management coming first in Australia for the seventh consecutive year in the QS Business Master's Rankings, rising to the top twenty-five programs globally – a testament to the world-class teaching experiences we offer.
The School has showcased the real-world impact of our leading research, including
AI technologies, submissions to the Fair Work Legislation Amendment on the need for regulation in the
labour market, and the growing influence of
digital payments to name a few, along with numerous features in both national and international media by our leading academics. Our researchers have also led thought-provoking discussions at signature industry events, including
Raising The Bar Sydney and
SXSW Sydney.
In addition, we launched our
2023-2027 Strategy, solidifying a truly collaborative vision for the Business School. The Strategy strengthens our path towards cultivating lifelong learners, forges enduring partnerships with industry, First Nations businesses, alumni, and government for groundbreaking, impactful research and mobilises a diverse, sustainable and flourishing community.
With over 92,000 alumni from the Business School alone, I invite you to celebrate our outstanding alums who have demonstrated a commitment to empowering progress in their communities by nominating them for our
2024 Alumni Awards. I had the opportunity to meet our international alumni network in New York, Toronto and Shanghai, and I am excited to connect with our alumni at our London and CEMS Global events in December to collaborate and celebrate our wonderful achievements.
As I reflect on the first full year I've had the privilege of leading as Dean, I am confident that through our shared goals and values, we will achieve even greater heights in the years to come, shaping a future where responsible leadership and sustainable practices are at the heart of our endeavours.
