To the Silver Community,
As Provost Fleming and Dr. Coleman indicated in their email last Friday, the Search Committee has been asked to pause the search for the new Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the light of the School’s leadership transition. Once the search is permitted to resume, I will be sure to share details and updates on behalf of the Faculty Search and New Appointments Committee.
Survey Results
In the meantime, we thank all of you who participated in the Search Survey, which was developed and shared by our search firm, Spelman Johnson. There were
29 respondents, nearly half of whom were MSW students, and a fifth of whom were tenured faculty. We also had great representation from administrators, staff, and alumni. The results are available
at this link so you can see the entire set of responses available. Many of the themes expressed are highly convergent, and while many of you have shared the pain of current struggles, you see many strengths within our community, and trust in a better future.
Thank you again for your continued support and engagement in this search process. I very much hope to be able to communicate the good news of our restarting the search for a new Associate Dean soon.
Should you have any questions for me and/or the Committee,
please email us.
Sincerely,
