PSU OUT List connects PSU's LGBTQ+ community

The PSU OUT List helps faculty, staff and students find self identifying members of PSU’s LGBTQ+ community and their allies. Overseen by the Queer Resource Center (QRC), the list is often utilized by students to find safe and affirming instructors, advisors, staff, courses, etc. This list shows our community that they are not alone in being out at PSU. The OUT List is publicly shared with the PSU community via the QRC website. If you choose to sign this year’s list, please share only what you feel comfortable being posted publicly online. People who are not out, or do not feel safe displaying their name are encouraged to sign as “Anonymous.”

Delay in financial aid and scholarship applications

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2024-25 school year is changing dramatically. The new application will be a much better experience for students with improvements to parent information, streamlined tax integration, and fewer documents required. Because this is such a massive change, the Department of Education has delayed the 2024-25 FAFSA from Oct. 1 to sometime in December. More information on the exact date will be available soon. Likewise, Scholarship Universe will also be delayed. It will become available soon after the FAFSA has been released. The Financial Aid Office will share more details when they are available.
