As students finish Fall Semester, they can also make their attendance selection for Spring 2021 at MiamiOH.edu/attendance. Decisions are due by January 15.

National First Generation Day Celebration Recap

Miami celebrated National First Generation Day on November 6 by hosting various events and giveaways. We raised awareness around the skillsets of these students by accumulating over 8,000 views of First Gen student spotlight stories, over 60 participants in live discussions, and countless messages of encouragement.

Is your student looking for the ultimate internship? Encourage them to apply to be a Student Orientation Undergraduate Leader (SOUL) for the 2021. SOULs are assist new students in their transition to college through orientation and Welcome Weekend. SOULs hold group and individual meetings with new students and serve as positive role models. Field study opportunities for Miami families

As a parent of a Miami student, you have the opportunity to earn Miami graduate credit in a stand-alone course or a full master’s, regardless of where you live in the U.S. and regardless of your profession. Designed for working professionals, Earth Expeditions (EE) graduate courses from Miami’s Project Dragonfly combine web-based coursework with face-to-face engagement with researchers, community leaders and conservationists at critical field sites in Africa, Asia, Australia and the Americas.

Global Initiatives and the Office of Education Abroad announce the launch of Intercultural Corner, the official podcast of Global Initiatives at Miami. Through interviews with faculty, students, and staff who learn by traveling the world and creating intentional global encounters, each week's episode will explore all the ways that faculty and students can connect with the world.
