Encounters with Law Enforcement: What should you say or do?
What are your legal rights if you are stopped by the police in public spaces, in your home, or driving a car? Are there restrictions to free speech? If you participate in a protest, rally, or demonstration, what are some things to consider? What are some potential consequences of an arrest? We will discuss the legal rights you have in each of these scenarios and what to do if you feel that your rights have been violated.
NYU's Immigrants Defense Initiative staff attorney Razeen Zaman will join us in this discussion and help answer questions.
