Evguenia "Jane" Layton, an academic leader with more than 13 years of experience directing, developing and expanding MBA programs, concentrations and global learning initiatives, has been named interim director of the Clemson University MBA Program.

The College has introduced a new Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program, which is now accepting applications. The MSF is a 10-month, 32-credit, in-person graduate program designed for students seeking advanced preparation for careers in corporate finance, investment management, real estate analysis, corporate banking and related fields.

John Alexander holds two significant roles at Clemson University. In addition to being the Breazeale Professor of Investments in the Department of Finance, he is also Clemson's chief investment officer. As CIO, Alexander manages the funds for an impressive 2,219 endowments that support Clemson students in achieving their dreams.

Two Clemson University teams finished in the top 10 among all U.S.-based competitors in the Bloomberg Global Trading Challenge, including a fourth-place national finish, placing Clemson among the nation's top-performing programs in the global competition.

Three Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business majors are among 10 Clemson students set to make an impact through a new Honors College program. The Action Scholars Program brings together a group of first- and second-year Honors students to research, build and implement plans to address community needs or challenges.

Austin Smothers, Ph.D., is highlighted for his unique blend of academic and professional accomplishments, combining his scientific research and leadership experience with aspirations in innovation and the Clemson MBA program, where he's positioned to further drive impactful initiatives.
