Course of the Week: Introduction to Psychology with John Shattuck |
This week, we would like to highlight another great course we will be offering at URock this spring: Introduction to Psychology with Professor John Shattuck. This course will meet on Tuesdays from 6pm - 7:20pm and cover learning theories, the brain and nervous systems, personality, perception, intelligence, motivation, emotions, thinking and problem solving, human development, abnormal behavior, and social interaction.Â

We hope everyone takes some time to rest and reconnect with family this winter recess. At URock, we will also be taking some time off and adjusting our hours for the season.
UMA Rockland Center will close at 12pm on Wednesday, December 24th. We will be closed all day Thursday, December 25th, and Friday, December 26th. We will be open the week of December 29th, but close for New Year's on January 1st.Â
On Monday, December 22nd, we will begin our winter hours. We will open at 8am and close at 5pm through the start of the spring semester on January 20th.Â

| Thomaston Winter Solstice Celebration |
On Saturday, December 20th, from 4pm to 8pm, Thomaston Main St businesses will be hosting their first annual winter solstice celebration. Come to downtown Thomaston for food, fire, hot mulled wine, local artisans, and a celebration of the darkest night of the year. Follow the link below for more details.Â
