Community Needs Assessment: How are you doing?
We are committed to providing the most valuable resources, research and connections to help you be successful in your experience efforts. To ensure we can do that effectively, we ask that you take a few minutes to complete our new Community Needs Assessment. Understanding your challenges and opportunities will help us determine how we can best support your experience efforts. We sincerely appreciate your participation.

"When we each in our own way try to express our interest in others, and when we change the way in how we ask about the experiences of others, we all take one step closer to the power of the human experience that we look to foster every day in healthcare. We each can help catalyze this type of connection. My ask of all of us is that we work to do so. Our hope here at the Institute is to change how we ask you, our community, about your needs and to help start this subtle but significant shift. To that effort, we invite each of you to take a few minutes in the coming days via our inquiry to tell us how YOU are doing."

Our latest On the Road took us to Southern California where we learned about the incredible patient experience work happening at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center (LBMC) and Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital Long Beach (MCWHLB). The team was eager to share their efforts and rightfully proud of the successful programs they have built to ensure they live out their organizational values of integrity, accountability, best practices, compassion and synergy.

Innovation is the life blood of all industries. Without it, organizations are unable to meet the changing needs of their “end users.” Over time, technology and other aspects of modernization falls behind leaving an organization vulnerable to competition and, ultimately, lack of innovation impacts the bottom line and an organization suffers or dies.
