Convention Countdown

Less than one month remains until the start of the 2023 National Convention. Make plans to join us in person or online. Business reports and worship services will be streamed live on our website (all times EDT). Online viewers can tune in before services each night as the Media Commission will host several interviews showcasing ministries and resources available to the denomination.

Zoom prayer meetings for convention are being held Thursday, June 22 and July 6 at 10:00 AM EDT. Register here https://bit.ly/conventionprayer.

It's not too late to register for Impact Raleigh. Service opportunities include working with a non-profit in the city as well as two Free Will baptist churches in the area. Register your group and receive FREE t-shirts.

CTI Call for Papers

The Commission for Theological Integrity is requesting submissions for papers for the 2023 Theological Symposium (click on the graphic for more information). The symposium will be held October 2-3 at Randall University.

Papers are being received and will be accepted through Monday, July 3. Papers (or abstracts) may be submitted to Cory Thompson.

New Blog: "Calculating the Future"

Most sermons on the parable of the Rich Fool found in Luke 12:13-21 emphasize the importance of not storing treasure on earth. But the first part of this passage focuses on something we seldom discuss—considering how we go about leaving our inheritance. In his new blog post, John Brummitt discusses avoiding future strife among your heirs by helping them understand why you chose to leave them the specific items and allocation of their inheritance.

Can my estate be settled after my death using the General Power of Attorney?

Power of Attorney (POA) documents become invalid upon the death of the person who created them. They authorize the person(s) you name in the document to make decisions on your behalf, including signing documents, in the event you are not capable. They are included in the Free Will Baptist Estate Plan to protect you and your family in the event you become mentally or physically incompetent prior to your death. But they cannot be used after you die.
