As previously announced, Adobe is moving all of its customers to a new licensing model and discontinuing its current model. As a result, the University of Utah and other universities are transitioning to an opt-in model. Starting on December 17, 2024, all existing university Adobe licenses will expire, and eligible U of U community members who need to use Adobe products for university purposes will be required to activate a new license. There will be no loss of data, only a new license.
New license activation is available as of December 3, 2024. Please note that some IT support teams in departments, colleges, and other units have already provided UIT with lists of Creative Cloud users who need access to the equivalent new product, Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps Pro. These users should receive an email confirming that their new license has been activated.
You may activate a new license for Adobe Express (recommended for most users) or Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps Pro based on your university-related needs and the minimum software that supports them.
