Hi Neighbor!
Last week, while doing my daily Social Media scroll, I saw a funny meme that said “Adult female friendships are mostly sending memes and helping diagnose sociopaths in each other's lives”. Not only did it make me LOL, I immediately texted it to my bestie who gets my humor 😂. We’ve known each other for over 20 years – since our children started Kindergarten together. When Covid hit, we started sharing more and more of these types of texts. During lockdown days, memes helped us to stay sane, and laugh, but they also kept us connected during a time when we couldn’t physically be together.

The Haverford Music Festival (a WXPN Welcomes Event) at 50 East Eagle Rd. in Havertown will headline Dana Fuchs, one of the fiercest voices in modern-day roots music. Fuchs starred as Janis Joplin in the off-Broadway musical Love, Janis, and starred in the Golden Globe-nominated film Across the Universe.
Also headlining are super-group The Split Squad, featuring guitarist Keith Streng of The Fleshtones; bassist Michael Giblin, of The Parallax Project; guitarist Kurt Bloch, of The Fastbacks; and drummer Brad Elvis of The Romantics.
Also headlining is multi-instrumentalist DEVIX, a Top 13 finalist on NBC’s The Voice. A York, PA native, Devix writes and performs music that spans indie and pop.
The Haverford Music Festival also features original music from 16 artists, playing Jazz, Rock, Pop, Folk, and Blues! There will be food booths, vendors, kids’ activities, beer and wine gardens, and fun for the whole family. Free Admission, Donations encouraged.
