A.G. Rhodes Ranked Best Nursing Home by Newsweek

A.G. Rhodes Wesley Woods has been recognized as the number one nursing home in Georgia on Newsweek’s Best Nursing Homes 2022 list. Though A.G. Rhodes Atlanta and A.G. Rhodes Cobb were not eligible for the ranking because of the 150 minimum bed count criteria, recognition of our Wesly Woods home is a testament to the entire organization's commitment to the elders we serve, and the selfless women and men who care for them. Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
Each year, people across the United States observe Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15. At A.G. Rhodes, we celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of our diverse residents, families, and staff, including Elena Castellano, an A.G. Rhodes resident who was born and raised in Puerto Rico. Ms. Castellano’s daughter, Sheilah Gates, shared more about her mom and family. Read more.
We also share Bibiana Monroy's story, which begins in 2017 when she fulfilled a lifelong dream of moving to the United States from her native country of Colombia (by way of Ecuador where she had lived since 2006). Read more about Bibiana and her family.
Employee Spotlight: Antanasia Bonner-Franklin, RN
Nursing isn’t an easy profession—especially over the last year and a half— but it’s an incredibly rewarding one. That’s the sentiment expressed by Antanasia Bonner-Franklin, a Registered Nurse at A.G. Rhodes Wesley Woods.

"I want to be that nurse that families can trust and who helps them feel comfortable," says Antanasia. Read more about Antanasia.
Breast Cancer Walk
A.G. Rhodes was a proud sponsor of the Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk earlier this month. We were honored to be part of the event and remember those "forever in our hearts".

In Memory Of...
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of elders who have recently passed away.

We remember Ms. Clarice Hart, resident at A.G. Rhodes Atlanta, who passed away in August. Her daughter, Shulanda Hart, said her mother was a lover of music. Her favorite artists included Aretha Franklin and Al Green. She also loved to talk and have interesting conversations. She also loved all types of food, but especially seafood.

She went on to say, "I would like to thank the staff at A.G. Rhodes Atlanta for the great care they provided to my mother."

We also remember Robert "Bob" Mozley, resident at A.G. Rhodes Wesley Woods, who passed away October 6.

If you have a loved one who was an A.G. Rhodes elder who recently passed away, email us at communications@agrhodes.org to include his or her name and link to the obituary in the next issue.
