Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition Showcases IVC Student Creativity |
IVC kicked off the Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition with an opening reception on April 30, celebrating the creativity and talent of student artists. The event brought together students, faculty, and community members for an evening of art, connection, and recognition, with awards presented for outstanding work featured in the show. The exhibition is open to the public through July 13 at the IVC Art Gallery, offering an opportunity to experience student artwork firsthand. GAP4+1 Business Leader Speaker Series Welcomes Former IRS Commissioner Charles “Chuck” Rettig |
IVC’s Guaranteed Accounting Program (GAP4+1) welcomed Charles “Chuck” Rettig, former commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), for its Business Leader Speaker Series on April 24. Rettig shared real-world insights from his experience leading the IRS from 2018 to 2022, offering students a valuable look into careers in tax, accounting, and public service. The event also featured a recruitment fair, where students connected with employers, explored career opportunities, and built professional networks in business-related fields. End-of-Year Celebrations for Puente and ELEVATE AAPI |
Last week, we celebrated student achievement and community with end-of-year events for the Puente and ELEVATE AAPI. The events brought together students, families, and campus partners to recognize academic progress, engagement, and graduating students. Both featured student speakers and performances, creating meaningful and memorable experiences for attendees. Together, they highlighted the accomplishments, resilience, and strong sense of community within both programs.

SOCCCD and National University Partner to Expand Transfer Opportunities |
IVC and Saddleback College recently partnered with National University to create clearer transfer pathways for students pursuing bachelor’s and graduate degrees. Through a new memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the South Orange County Community College District, eligible students will have access to dedicated transfer advising, streamlined pathways, and significant tuition reduction opportunities. Jonathan Hinkel Earns National ITA Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award |
IVC men’s tennis student-athlete Jonathan Hinkel was named the 2026 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) California Community College Athletic Association Men’s Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award recipient on April 23. Women's Flag Football Captures First Ever OEC Championship |
In a back-and-forth battle worthy of a championship stage, IVC's Women’s Flag Football team stormed back in the final minutes last Thursday to defeat Cypress 32-27 and capture the inaugural Orange Empire Conference championship.
