Help Sustain PTPA This Summer 💛 |
Are you aware of our current efforts to raise funds to sustain the mission of PTPA?
As we move through this summer season, we’re inviting our community to come together once again to ensure this meaningful work continues to grow and thrive.
Your presence, collaboration, and commitment strengthen this community and bring our mission to life. Together, we live out our faith through relationships rooted in solidarity, mutual respect, and hope.
PTPA continues to accompany its members through moments of challenge, connection, and shared learning—facilitating dialogue, strengthening communication, and offering resources that support parish twinning relationships.
Your support makes it possible for us to provide this guidance, connection, and accompaniment at no cost…sustaining a small but dedicated team who walk alongside our sister parishes and nurture these faith-filled relationships.
|
👉 If this community has ever encouraged you, guided you, or uplifted you, we invite you to pay it forward.
Make a gift this summer to ensure that same care can continue to reach others.

Important Update from Bethel Computers for Education |
We would like to share an important update from Dennis Bauman of Bethel Computers for Education, whose work has supported many of our PTPA members over the years.
Over the past several years, Bethel Computers for Education has generously donated more than 8,300 computers to schools and clinics in underserved communities around the world. Unfortunately, their supply of computers has now been largely exhausted. While this marks a significant transition, the need for accessible educational technology remains as strong as ever.
In response, Dennis and his team are focusing their efforts on expanding and strengthening their Internet in a Box (IIAB) server. They have recently released Version 10, which includes nearly 8,000 books in English, French, Spanish, and Creole, along with updated resources such as Wikipedia, Kolibri, and the University of Colorado’s PhET simulations. Notably, significant improvements have been made to Creole-language materials; an important advancement given the limited availability of educational resources in that language.
A limited number of Version 10 servers are currently available. Looking ahead, Bethel plans to continue configuring available computers as IIAB servers as resources permit and welcomes any support in sourcing equipment.
Additionally, an exciting new initiative is underway to bring the IIAB server to the cloud. This development will be especially beneficial for schools with internet access, allowing for easier, more frequent updates and broader access to educational content without the need to ship physical servers. With the increasing availability of internet solutions such as Starlink, more communities may be able to benefit from this model in the near future.
Dennis also shared that their services will continue to be offered free of charge, and that schools can access the IIAB platform using a wide range of devices, including Windows or Apple computers, tablets, and smartphones as long as they have internet connectivity.
This transition has not been without challenges, but Bethel Computers for Education remains committed to its mission and deeply grateful for the partnerships that have made this work possible.
If your parish or partner school has utilized Bethel’s services and would like to stay informed, request a server, or share information about internet access in your community, we encourage you to view their website here and/or reach out directly to Dennis via email: a4fplt01@gmail.com
