Rest assured that with this new format you will still receive the same great, high-quality information to your inbox. We look forward to connecting with you soon!

Teaching Tips

This section is full of timely and evidence-based practices to apply in your teaching. We are starting the semester with flexible and adaptive teaching strategies.
Hybrid and Hyflex Teaching. While these models are a great way to offer maximum flexibility to your students, they do require additional planning, preparation, and consideration. Fortunately, there is a wealth of information available from your fellow UNCG instructors captured as part of the 2021 Adapt conference. You can find videos that address general advice for faculty among other helpful topics in the 2021 Adapt conference Canvas course.
Expect the Unexpected. Stay ahead of the curve this semester by reviewing the instructional continuity planning checklist.  This helpful resource will make sure you are prepared for any scenario the campus may encounter this fall. For more great tips, resources, and strategies, visit keepteaching.uncg.edu.
COVID Classroom Tips (Reminder). The FAQs and general tips outlined in this document are designed to assist faculty in addressing issues that may present in the classroom. Additionally, Fall 2021 room capacities and seating charts are now available and this helpful video courtesy of ITS Learning Technologies will walk you through the steps of tracking attendance and seating arrangements via the Canvas Roll Call Attendance Tool (student view), should you choose to use it as a way to keep your seating chart.

Special Announcement

“Participating in the Teaching Squares program was a great experience.  Being able to sit in on other classes, see possibilities for what I could incorporate into my teaching practice, and reflect with other teachers was a valuable learning experience.”
