Over the course of four days, Walsh University nursing faculty and alumni served 294 individuals across three Guatemalan communities: Aldea El Banco, Santa Catarina Bobadilla, and San Pedro Las Huertas. The medical team included 11 professionals who provided essential care through community clinics. Among them were Tracey Herstich, Clinical Associate Professor, Christina Gabele, nursing graduate, faculty adjunct, and fast-track nursing alum Tyler Shrout, both returning for their second year, along with Sheila Daniels, an undergraduate nursing adjunct, who joined the trip for the first time. The experience reflects Walsh’s commitment to service and global health outreach.
