  • Girls Basketball player, Justis Gordon '20, celebrated scoring 1,000 points in her high school career. 
  • Cathedral Choirs welcomed grammy winner, Angela Brown to campus. Ms. Brown helped our students prepare for their performances.
  • Kendall White '16, now playing at Penn State University, was named Big Ten Volleyball Defensive Player of the Year!
  • Cathedral's We the People team placed 1st in the state competition.
  • Chuck Gilbert '95 was named to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Silver Anniversary Team.
  • Track and Field Head Coach John O'Hara '02 was nominated for 2019 Indiana Boys Track and Field Coach of the Year by the Indiana Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches.
  • Cathedral welcomed new principal, Julie Barthel.
  • Jack Doyle '08, Indianapolis Colts tight end, was named to the NFL Pro Bowl for the second time in his career.
  • Cathedral celebrated its first bilingual mass (English & Spanish) during Catholic Schools Week.
  • Cathedral Educator, Ria Pereira, received the College Boards Computer Science Female Diversity Award for attaining female student representation in AP Computer Science Principles.
  • The Cathedral Irish Adrenaline Show Choir won Small Unisex Grand Champion of the FHS Silver Spotlight Show Choir Invitational.
  • Cathedral's Speech and Debate Team were named champions of the Tri High School Tournament & won 2nd place at the Columbus East Tournament.
  • 60 siblings got to spend the day together during our 2nd Little Siblings Shadow Day! 7th & 8th grade students got to see a typical day at Cathedral as they shadowed their older sibling.
  • Eric D. Saunders '01 & DeAnna Woodruff '94 were recognized by the Black Alumni Council with the 2020 Trailblazer Award for Service to the Community.

  2. Can't join us join in person? Don't miss a sizzling opportunity to win a grand prize of up to $15,000 in cash through our ShamrAuction Raffle! Raffle tickets are $100 each. The Grand Prize will be drawn live at ShamrAuction on February 29, 2020. You need not be present to win. Contact Michelle Rhodes '01 Taylor to purchase tickets.

  3. Snag any number of great products and services through the online auction. Look for the email to arrive when the auction opens on February 24, 2020. 

  4. Contribute to this year's Fund-A-Need efforts to help feed approximately 70 of Cathedral's current students that receive a healthy breakfast and lunch, at no charge to them, each day. This year's Fund-A-Need goal is to raise $60,000 of the nearly $120,000 Cathedral spends annually to provide this type of assistance.

Circle of Excellence - Nominations Needed

The purpose of the Cathedral Circle of Excellence is to honor those who have perpetuated the good name of Cathedral High School by exhibiting Holy Cross values in making significant, substantial, and long-standing contributions to Cathedral or their city, state, country, or global community.
There are four categories for nominees:

Alumni (accomplishments made as student) - Alumni who had an illustrious career in academics, athletics, or extracurricular activities during their time at Cathedral High School.
Alumni (accomplishments made post graduation) - Alumni who have made a difference through distinguished professional, personal, or community contributions after graduation. 
Faculty, Staff, Administrator, Coach - A faculty, staff, administrator, or coach who has served his/her students in exemplary fashion.
Community Contributor - A community contributor who has profoundly impacted the lives of students at Cathedral High School.
