Hi Neighbor!
Â
I wear many different hats. I’m not being metaphorical. I literally own dozens of hats. I guess you could call me a collector. I have baseball caps, a beret, a bowler, fedoras, cowboy, newsboy, bucket, beanies and even a captain’s hat. I watch Marvelous Mrs. Maisel with total envy. The wardrobe is beautiful but for me it’s the HATS!!! Midge has a hat for every outfit. I could have lived in the 50s, I could rock the hats!
Â
I love wearing hats for so many reasons. First and most obvious, if I let my color go a little too long, I can throw on a hat. I don't feel like styling my hair… grab a hat. (Clearly, I’m lazy.) But it’s more than that. I think I look better in a hat. I have a head for hats, not to be confused with hat head which happens when wearing a hat for too long. And the remedy for that? A hat.
Â
When I’m on vacation I always buy a hat. I love going into a hat shop and trying on hats. The weirder the better. It’s a ton of fun. You never laugh when trying on shoes, but you do with the right hat.
Â
A hat always fits. No dieting for a new hat. Keeps you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. And hats convey an attitude. And boy do I have attitude.🤣
Â
One of my favorite IG accounts is the Hatterist. “A meeting place for hat minded people.” I’d say that sums me up perfectly!
Â
🎩🤠👒🧢
If the hats fit wear it! Regina

LOOKING GOOD!
Â
Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church has opened a beautiful new art gallery in its recently-renovated Ministries Center. The church’s first exhibit features paintings of Michael Bartmann. After a career as a landscape architect, Bartmann studied painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Center City Philadelphia. His work is largely inspired by the vacant industrial spaces of cities such as Camden and Philadelphia, and his paintings capture the beautiful and dynamic play of light, surface and space within these abandoned settings. Bartmann evokes emotion using spatial dimension, atmosphere and defining architecture.
Â
The Bartmann exhibit will be on display through March 27. The public is welcome to view his artwork Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church is located at 625 Montgomery Ave. in Bryn Mawr. For more information about the church, visit bmpc.org.

URBAN ROOTS FARM CSA ACCEPTING NEW MEMBERS!
Â
Delaware County farm is accepting new members for the 2022 CSA season that kicks off in June and offers on-farm pick-up, home delivery in the suburbs, and multiple pick-up locations throughout Philadelphia.
Â
Urban Roots Farm in Newtown Square teams up with local producers to offer a “full diet” CSA featuring a weekly share of fresh, chemical-free vegetables from Urban Roots with options to add-on pasture-raised chicken and eggs from Horseshoe Ranch; bread made with freshly milled, locally grown grain from Ursa Bakery; farmstead cheeses from Birchrun Hills Farm; gourmet mushrooms from Mycopolitan; and fresh flower bouquets from Urban Roots. Â
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Members pay in advance to support the start-up cost of a farm season. The farm distributes shares of produce every week to its members. This model provides a meaningful way for you to invest in local agriculture and get the freshest produce straight from the source.Â
Urban Roots Farm weekly CSA share is $40/week ($960/season) and includes around 10 pounds or a dozen types of vegetables and herbs. A smaller “city share” is also available at Philly pick-up locations only for $30/week ($720/season) and is designed for folks who may cook less or have a smaller household. All shares include fresh, chemical-free vegetables from Urban Roots. Members who opt to pick-up on the farm will enjoy a members-only market style pick-up to “shop” for vegetables each week while getting to know the farmers and the farm.Â
Â
|
The 2022 CSA will start the third week of June and end the week before Christmas. Members can plan to skip one week of their choice + Thanksgiving week, so membership includes 24 weeks of produce.Â
Â
The CSA is available via multiple pick-up/delivery options throughout the suburbs and Philly. On the farm: market style pick-up: Tuesday 4pm-6pm, Wednesday 5pm-7pm, Thursday 4pm-6pm, or Sunday 11am-1pm. Home Delivery near the farm: suburbs/Main LineÂ
