About this play: Two impulsive teenagers, Romeo and Juliet, unite themselves by secret marriage against the wishes of their families. Friar Lawrence weds them with the hope that their forbidden love will bring peace to the warring Capulets and Montagues. Hope, passion, and faith rule the young lovers, but are those enough to overcome an ancient grudge? Bound in the eternal eloquence of Shakespeare’s masterful language is a story of innocence and revenge that will keep you riveted to your seat. From the famous balcony scene to epic sword fights, William Shakespeare’s tragic romance remains unchallenged as one of the most enduring works in all of western literature.

ACT III Campaign Update
Photo: new exterior

2019 will be quite the year at CT: this summer we are remodeling our facility to make your experience here even more wonderful! We are replacing all the seats and adding 50 more. We are reconfiguring the auditorium so that you'll have a terrific view of the entire stage from every seat. And we'll be upgrading our acoustics and sound system to improve the quality of your aural experience.

A big project like this requires many, many helping hands! We extend our huge thanks to those of you who have already stepped up to sponsor one of our new seats. If you haven't yet done so, you can find out more about naming a seat in the lobby during Romeo and Juliet. And, looking  ahead, we'll need lots and lots of help moving costumes and props and equipment out of our building this spring (and moving them back in again in September) — so stay tuned for work party invitations!
New, more comfortable seats will be installed this summer as part of our ACT III Remodeling Project!
(Thank you to all of you who helped provide feedback during our "Goldilocks and the Three Chairs" Challenge last fall! Your input was much appreciated.)
