On Tuesday, October 4, at around 12:30 p.m., the Department of Campus Safety received a report of an aggravated assault that occurred at approximately 11:25 a.m. on the northwest corner of Jay Street and Willoughby Street, in Brooklyn.
NYPD reported that a victim had been slashed by an unknown person; at this point, it is unclear whether the victim has any connection to NYU. The person was taken to a hospital by EMS. NYPD does not believe this incident was related to the shots fired incident reported earlier today.
Description of Reported Offenders: NYPD reported that three male-presenting, dark-complexioned individuals were involved, one of whom was wearing a black ski mask.
