Workshop Scheduled for Round 12 of NYS Consolidated Funding Applications

An informational workshop will be held on Thursday, May 12th, 2022, from 3:00-5:00 PM, at the Best Western (Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center), 26 E. First St, Oswego. Parking is free and available in the lot across from the conference center.
Daniel Kolinski, Deputy Director at Empire State Development (ESD) in Central New York, will provide an overview of the $1 Billion dollars in economic and community development funding opportunities available in this year’s CFA competition. In addition to discussing the ESD Grant and Tax Credit programs that make funds accessible to eligible new and expanding businesses, Mr. Kolinski will also provide information on some of the new grant funding initiatives in this year’s State budget including Restore NY, the New York Works Economic Development Fund, and community based waterfront enhancement grants. Following the presentation, he will provide time to answer questions from the attendees.

Apply for T.H.R.I.V.E. Emerging Leaders Reimagined

Are you looking to expand your business? Consider applying for T.H.R.I.V.E. Emerging Leaders Reimagined. This no-cost program provides entrepreneurship training to accelerate the growth of high-performing small businesses.
Over six months (July to December 2022), participants will receive in-person coaching and virtual, self-paced instruction. You'll work on a Strategic Growth Plan and receive feedback from instructors and a group of peers. Plus, the hybrid model allows participants to work with a network of experienced subject matter experts in core business topics—like accounting, business strategy, marketing, and human resources—customized for the unique needs of small business owners.
SBA Upstate New York will be selecting 20 participants for the 2022 cohort. Apply online by May 31 at https://sbathrive.com and select the Syracuse, NY location.
