Public Safety Value Model Available
The Athletic Training in Public Safety Value Model is now available on the NATA website. Created by the Public Safety Committee of the NATA Council on Practice Advancement, this document covers topics such as worth, including setting the worth standards, Fair Labor Standards Act and contract, and demonstrating that worth and value through the AT skill set, including risk mitigation, injury and crisis management, injury prevention programs, diagnostic testing, cost containment and more.

ATs Care & EDAC Call-In Night Dec. 19The next NATA ATs Care & EDAC Call-In Nights: Addressing Uncertainty in 2020 is at 6 p.m. CST Dec. 10. The ATs Care Commission and the NATA Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee are collaborating on the call-in nights to provide ATs the opportunity to express their emotional reactions to racial injustice, COVID-19 and the overall uncertainty many are experiencing in a group setting, under the guidance of ATs Care team members trained in ICISF’s Group Intervention. Attendees are encouraged to express and share during these call-in nights. New NATA Timely Topics Series: The AT and EntrepreneurshipJoin us Dec. 1-3 for the first NATA Timely Topics Series event, “The AT and Entrepreneurship.” Created with the assistance of the NATA Council on Practice Advancement, this event will examine athletic training entrepreneurship. This is a great opportunity to learn from ATs who found success as entrepreneurs as they share their personal journeys and the lessons they have learned. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions, and resources will be provided after the event for continued learning. The series is free to members and $45 per event for nonmembers. READ MORE
