SHRM Resource
The Society for Human Resource Management developed a resource for business owners to consult on how to handle staff policies surrounding COVID-19, such as employees visiting high-risk states. It points out the latest legal requirements and provides ethical guidance. Though this was originally published in March, this info is still relevant today with the exception that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines have changed regarding when health care personnel are able to return to work after being infected. Visit SHRM’s website here for the full report.
This month’s issue of Louisville Medicine focuses on those treating our tiniest patients. We explore pediatrics, neonatology and more! Click here to read the full issue.
Write for Louisville Medicine
We are always welcoming new writers for Louisville Medicine. If you’d like to write on any of the below topics, contact Kathryn Vance at kathryn.vance@glms.org. We will release the themes for 2021 in the coming months.
  • November – Neurology
  • December – Transitioning Practice
What transitions have you experienced in your practice of medicine? Each transition brings new challenges and joys and we invite you to write about your experiences and share any wisdom you may have to pass on in this issue of Louisville Medicine.
You care for patients non-stop. Are you taking care of yourself?
GLMS created a webinar in partnership with the Northern Kentucky Medical Association on physician resiliency during COVID-19. The live stream was recorded and is now available as a resource for members. Click here to watch this video, hosted by GLMS President, Monalisa Tailor, MD, to gain valuable insights and learn best practices.
We created this chart to help patients who have been exposed to COVID-19 discern their next steps. This easy-to-read exposure chart incorporates Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines and has been approved for distribution by the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health & Wellness. Please feel free to print and post in your practice, hand out to patients or use on your website/social media. Click here to download.
