ANOTHER ONE FOR THE BOOKS
The 2018 - 2019 school year has come to a successful end! With the help of PENCIL Partners, volunteers, donors and this community, PENCIL is able to support over 85,000 Metro Nashville Public School Students.
Thank you for supporting our mission, and for helping us transform the lives of students across our city! Your support ensures the PENCIL team can continue to make these vital connections on behalf of students and teachers: $1.4 million school supplies provided to MNPS teachers free of charge, 102 new Partnerships this year alone, and at least 61,481 hours of volunteer service and in-kind contributions worth $3.7 million in community investment directly into Metro Schools.

Gray Line took its partnership to new heights. Last month, Hillwood High School students experienced a Gray Line tour of our beautiful city, and were able to see some of their curriculum in action! 
Southwest volunteers packed and delivered 570 Summer Supply Bags for all students at Cumberland Elementary School and  Robert E. Lillard Elementary. 
About 30 Piedmont Gas joined Dan Mills Elementary School students at Field Day and embraced their inner child! The employees helped staff the activity stations and cook food for 600+ students, family members and faculty. 
Carter-Lawrence students and their PENCIL Reading Partners read until the very end! Special thanks to all our Reading Mentors and Buddies out there!

More than 50 community members joined us, on May 22, to celebrate our amazing supporters, a successful school year and 37 wonderful years in this community. We had a fantastic time playing games and celebrating with so many wonderful people! Thank you to everyone who came out and joined the festivities! It has been an amazing 37 years, and we look forward to continuing our impact for many more!
