Back to School Update #1
Dear St. Michael’s Families,
We have a lot of information to share with you this week regarding the start of our 2020-21 school year. In pursuit of our mission, the School spent thousands of hours and a sizable financial investment this summer in order to safely reopen our campus for instruction. We are counting the days until our students return and look forward to an exciting year ahead!
I'd like to call your attention to the following:
- All parents will need to sign this "Parent Partnership and Agreement" form before their child(ren) will be permitted to begin classes on August 31.
- Important reminders for the start of school should be reviewed HERE. These include password-protected morning and afternoon cohort lists, our mask policy, safety limitations on lockers/and cubbies, and more.
- Our PowerSchool platform is currently having some technical integration issues. Our Director of Technology, Dave Grossman, is working with PowerSchool to rectify the situation. We will update you as soon as the issue is resolved.
- We plan to send out additional information on Wednesday and Friday of this week regarding carpool procedures and other important Back to School information.
As we establish necessary new routines this year, let us remind ourselves to be mindful of blessings great and small: the love and support of family, friends, and our St M community, the gift of education, and the ability to all be together to discover new things and to overcome obstacles with resilience. Most importantly, we are all moving forward in this new way for the first time. May we extend GRACE daily to each other as we learn new procedures, strive to do our best in a challenging situation, and approach each new day as an opportunity to try again and soar. We are over the moon excited to be ONE.TOGETHER on campus again.
See you soon, Dragons!
Sincerely,
Bob Gregg, Head of School
