Rosendale 4-H Club: May 3, 2026 |
Submitted by Reporter, Eli Curtis
The Rosendale 4-H Club met on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Peace Lutheran Church.
We started the meeting by painting pots and planting flowers for our moms for mother’s day. We continued the meeting with the pledges. Next, we had roll call. Then, we had the secretary’s report and skipped the treasurer report.
For old business, Eve Clark, Levi Clark, and Eli Curtis talked about attending the 4-H Dairy Cattle Fitting & Showing Workshop at Vir-Clar. Eve Clark reminded members the Curtis family will work on the Silent Auction Basket with a John Deere theme and a $50 limit. Eve Clark also reminded seniors that the Fond du Lac County 4-H Scholarship applications are due May 15 and also for older members to continue to think about applying for trips this fall.
For new business, Eve Clark introduced Tracy Kiefenheim, the Fond du Lac County 4-H Extension Agent. Eve Clark talked about the sandwich workshop planned for May 16 from 9 - 11 a.m. at the Fond du Lac County Campus with a cost of $10 per youth. The archery project begins meetings this week, so see the newsletter for dates and times. Eve Clark told members to watch the 4-H Newsletter for information about 4-H Day Campus. This year’s topics are Around the World, Cloverbud Day Camp, Cardboard Camp, Art Day Camp, Foodie Camp, Lego Camp, and STEM: Wizarding Day Camp. A 4-H Youth Leader will be leading a drawing cat workshop on Saturday, May 16. See the newsletter with opportunities for participation from cloverbud through 13th. A new family fair orientation is again being offered. This is an opportunity to learn how to enter exhibits, learn dates to remember, and understand how judging works. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 3 at 6 p.m. at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds Rec Center. Foods Revue registration is now open. The event is scheduled for June 17 at 6 p.m. with a theme of cherries. The Fair Book is available online. This means you can start thinking about what you would like to bring to the fair. Watch the newsletter for fair entry sign-up to open. Fair entries are due on June 17 at 11:59 p.m. We handed out raffle tickets to families today. Members are asked to turn them in at this meeting, bring them back to the meeting in June, or make arrangements with Ashley separately. The raffle ticket sale profits go back to the Adult Leaders program that supports 4-H programming throughout Fond du Lac County. Cloverbud members also received their pumpkin seeds at the meeting. Cloverbuds are encouraged to plant the seeds to see how large, odd shaped, colorful, or unique you can grow your pumpkin for the contest in October.
Our next meeting will be Sunday, May 31 at 1 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church. We will be making coasters for dad.

What will the future look like and how will YOU shape it? |
Imagine it’s the year 2076—America’s 300th birthday. What role do young people play? What does it look like when youth are truly heard, leading, and making change? We want your vision. Using AI, illustrate what you envision youth empowerment will look like 50 years (2076) from now.
Youth empowerment is all about using your voice, building leadership skills, and making a difference; right now and into the future. It’s young people working alongside adults to create positive change in their communities.
Think big. Think bold. Think about the future YOU.
Ask yourself:
|
- What does it look like when someone is truly involved in their community?
-
How can young people take action and be civically engaged?
- What problems are youth solving in 2076?
- How are youth leading, speaking up, and creating change?
