DEAN'S ADVISORY BOARDS & ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT
Welcome Kimberly Corbett, San Francisco Chapter!
Why did you join the Dean's Advisory Board?
I’ve found my experience at the University of Portland prepared me in unexpected ways in my career.  There’s certainly an academic rigor which provided me with the needed business acumen to succeed, but underlying that is a strong code of ethics – a “do the right thing” that has served me well in the long run.  Winning the right way matters, and I am thankful for the lessons ingrained in me from UP centered around that. I was introduced to the group by my fellow classmate Ben Goodyear, who coincidentally was a pre-school classmate in rural Eastern Oregon.  Who knew two kids from a very small town would end up being on the same Advisory Board some 30 years later – oh the places you’ll go!
What are you doing now as a Pamplin Pilot Alum?
I am currently the Vice President of User Acquisition for Zynga, managing a $140M annual marketing spend spanning 15 mobile games in 40+ countries.  My team includes user acquisition media buyers, business intelligence, marketing art, cross promotion and lifecycle marketing.  I love working in the Bay Area for a company at the intersection of technology and entertainment and solving big problems at a global scale.
Welcome Katie Twineham, Seattle Chapter!
Why did you join the Dean's Advisory Board?
I joined the Dean’s Advisory Board because I wanted to continue to be involved at the University of Portland after I graduated. Being a Pilot has transformed my life in many different ways and I don’t know where I would be without the experience and knowledge that UP has given me. I felt that by being an advisory board member, I could still be involved with my UP committee no matter where life takes me.
What are you doing now as a Pamplin Pilot Alum?
As a recent Alumni, I am currently working at PACCAR Parts as a Data Analyst in their Materials department.
