Would a little gem of heart-shaped cane set in a sparkling imaginary world send the right message to someone who makes your heart soar? Josh just made a new collection of beautiful Heart Planets... perfect for someone who sends your heart into orbit... or maybe for that person you're just getting to know but now suddenly Valentine's Day comes along and giving chocolates would be just too boring while a box of wine or a new vacuum cleaner would send just the wrong message?

This month's Infinity Project participant is Sarita C., from Antipolo City in the Philippines. As a child, Sarita loved discovering her father's childhood marbles while digging in her grandma's gardens. Now, she will give her Infinity Planet to her dad as a birthday present, to be hidden in either a nature preserve near their home or a memorial pocket forest of native trees planted by her father in memory of her mom, who passed away in 2020 and who loved collecting handmade glass beads.

Sarita learned about the Infinity Project while a student at Smith College, from the video, “The Glass Artist Who Hides His Work All Around the World."

According to this article in the National Geographic, Josh is "the Father of Marble-Hunting!" Who knew? The piece, written by Ashley Harrell, explains the pleasure of hunting marbles in a digital age, and acknowledges it all began with the Infinity Project. Josh might or might not agree with his new honorific, but nearly 4,000 Infinity Planets hidden around the world since the '80s do seem to justify the title.
