Early Notification for Financial Aid 2018-19
In order for your student to be considered for financial aid, it’s imperative that the required documents are filled out in a timely manner. All students currently receiving financial aid, including federal loans and state scholarships, must reapply annually. If you submit all of your financial aid application documents by January 15, 2018, you will receive notice of your financial aid eligibility in early May. Students who submit application materials after January 15, but before the May 1 renewal deadline will receive their financial aid award in early to mid-June.
The Johns Hopkins University Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and the Office of the Dean of Student Life recognize and value the benefits of undergraduate Greek letter organizations. Close friendships, mentoring relationships, leadership opportunities, community service and philanthropy programs, alumni engagement, and an emphasis on campus involvement are hallmarks of the fraternity and sorority experience at Johns Hopkins. Our partnership with the national and international headquarters of Greek letter organizations helps to convey the importance of, and hold members accountable to, the founding principles of these organizations.
The safety of each member of the JHU community is our top priority. The Office of Campus Safety and Security operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Not only do we have a large force of campus police officers, Allied Universal Security Guards and off-duty Baltimore Police Officers patrolling on and around campus, we also offer many services and programs to enhance the safety of our community.

Parent and Family Hosts Needed for Spring Admitted Student Receptions
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is currently seeking hosts for spring Admitted Student Receptions (ASRs) in various locations around the country.
ASRs are an opportunity for admitted students and their families to build a connection with our community and learn more about the Hopkins experience. These receptions are a casual way for admitted students to meet, mingle, and have their questions answered about the university. Many students who attend these events have not yet committed to JHU, and for some this may be their only personal contact with the university before they choose to enroll. By introducing them to current members of the Hopkins family, we hope to provide a taste of what it means to be a Blue Jay while also celebrating their admission.
