As promised earlier this year, we want to share with you more stories from our incredible Circle the Schools partnerships. In addition, we're keeping an eye on subjects that matter most to our member companies by bringing you an update on San Francisco's Commuter Shuttle Program, navigating Superbowl mayhem, and sharing a quick link to get your Crunchies tickets.

Circle the Schools: A Partnership Story

Williams Sonoma

This week, we're highlighting a recent collaboration between Williams Sonoma and their partner Galileo High School. Williams Sonoma's first activity with the school took place this past fall when their employees hosted a breakfast for Galileo teachers and took two days to renovate and transform the school's teacher lounge. After, to take their teacher appreciation focus with the school even further, Williams Sonoma asked their head chef to host a cooking class for 15 teachers four times in a school year.

The first class was last week and head chef (Amanda) and her Sous Chef (also Amanda) began class with the basics of chopping, and then went on to make spinach and artichoke dip, a cold quinoa salad, and Thai soba noodles. Kudos to Williams Sonoma for making Circle the Schools work in their own special way. We'll be back in touch with you to share what's being served at the next cooking class soon.

Tuesday at City Hall

On Tuesday, the Board of Supervisors revisited San Francisco's new Commuter Shuttle Program, which regulates commuter shuttles commonly known as "Google buses." The new legislation faced a challenge from opponents of the shuttles. The Board decided to postpone this issue and revisit it on February 9. sf.citi will continue to support commuter shuttles and advocate for the program, as we believe these shuttles are good for our commuters, our economy, and our environment, not to mention they reduce traffic congestion. Thank you to everyone who came out and showed their support Tuesday afternoon. We will keep you updated on future developments.
