The Center for Postsecondary Research has placed IUP in the R2 Doctoral University—High Research Activity category in its latest Carnegie Classification. Among public universities, IUP is one of only two in Pennsylvania and 99 in the nation to achieve this classification, which recognizes commitment to and success in research. On March 2, the State System Board of Governors will consider an IUP proposal to reduce tuition for undergraduate, in-state students starting in fall 2022. The IUP Council of Trustees approved the proposal last week.
Student organizations can win up to $250 through the #IUPLeads campaign by attending a training, by posting wellness tips on social media, and by decorating a Folger window. Register your group by March 22.
