It was so good to be together again just a couple weeks ago! The second gathering of a Transforming Community is always so significant because of the covenant we make to journey together AND becasue we meet in small groups for the first time. Hopefully you are beginning to experience returning to retreat as restorative practices of fixed hour prayer, silence and word, solitude and community. We pray that in this busy holiday season you will find ways to begin creating space for these sustaining sacred rhythms.
A couple areas we wanted to follow up on:
- Reflection Papers (for those writing them):
- By now you should have received a confirmation that we (Maiya-our record keeper) received your first paper.
- There are still about 20 of you that have not sent in your first reflection paper but have indicated you will be writing papers. If you have not received an email from Maiya, it means she didn't receive it. Please send your paper in soon so that you do not fall behind.
- Please make sure that the paper is not in the body of the email. It should be saved and attached as a Word document.
- Remember, you may not get your first paper back before you write and send in your second paper. Do not panic; it is not necessary for you to "see how you did" before you write another reflection paper.
- Small Groups:
- Click here for a document that has all the small group pictures. Hopefully this will help you get more familiar with the many faces in this community!
- Remember, if you are going to be late to or absent from a retreat, let your small group know (as well as the TC) by emailing them.
- During the Quarter Correction:
- It has been brought to our attention that the page numbers for the segment in Invitation to a Journey may be incorrect, depending on which edition you own. Click here for the updated During the Quarter.
