TODAY: All technology purchases will follow new TechAcquisition Process
NEW: Technology Acquisition Process
Technology acquisitions, whether purchased or free, must meet state regulations to ensure information security, accessibility, and feasibility requirements. To help you through this process IT@Sam will take the lead to ensure that we are complying with these requirements and operational support needs.
TAP was designed with the requestor in mind resulting in a guided technology acquisition experience from start to finish. This new process removes the guesswork and consists of four phases to complete your technology acquisition.
After researching, request approval for your technology acquisition using the Technology Acquisition Request Form. This includes new requests, renewals, software, and hardware.
Once you receive the Technology Acquisition Approval Form (TAAF), you may proceed with your technology acquisition following the university procurement policies and procedures.
Last Phase! After your technology request is approved, IT@Sam will work with you to complete the final phase of your technology request for any software, hardware, or service requirements.
We are offering TAP training this month. Please sign up for a more in depth look at the process and walk away with materials to help you on your next technology acquisition.
