Hi Neighbor!
It was the morning after Christmas, and I picked up my phone to glance at Instagram. That was my first mistake. I was exhausted after days of eating, drinking, and socializing, so the last thing I should have done is visit the wild wild west of social media. I did and saw a message from Instagram:
We recently received a complaint about a post on your Instagram. Your post has been reported as infringing copyright. Your account will be removed if no objection is made to the copyrighted work. If you think this determination is incorrect, please fill out the appeal form from the link below.
It requested I input my email address and password.
In my morning stupor I panicked. As soon as I logged in, I realized what I had done, but it was too late. I was scammed. Not only was I scammed but I was now being blackmailed.

Cardiometabolic Disaster Brewing
Did you know that we are facing an epidemic that is potentially killing half of our population? An epic rise in high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, fatty liver disease, adult-onset diabetes and Alzheimer’s has been seen in the last 2 decades or more. It is estimated to affect 1 in 3 persons in the US with a higher prevalence occurring in women. One of the main culprits besides the standard American diet is the lack of blood sugar regulation and resulting insulin resistance.
We need to go back to fundamentals of nutrition to build a foundation for addressing this dire issue. Increasing fruit & vegetable consumption along with soluble & insoluble fiber intake, exercise, adequate sleep, stress management, & improving our microbiome are just a few examples of where we can begin.
Reducing processed food intake, which ultimately reduces sugar consumption also makes a ton of sense for us all. Beyond that comes discussions of appropriate nutritional supplementation and when necessary, targeted medications. Whether we know it, like it, believe it or not, we are all in this fight together, and this will ultimately make the difference in reversing the course of this newfound epidemic.

Two Beauties Looking for Loving Homes
Handsome, intelligent German Shepherd Jack has it all! He's house trained, knows basic commands, has the most compelling eyes but isn't fond of cats. Jack would thrive with a fenced yard of his own but he'd also do well with an owner willing to leash train for walks with his devoted, muscular companion.
OR
Westie Poodle mix Nala is the prettiest little girl who is affectionate and intelligent. She's house trained and would do best as the only object of your affection. She requires a home with older children and needs to have her distinctive cream-color coat brushed daily as it grows back.
