Undergraduate Research Lab Opportunities for Spring 2023:

 
The laboratory of Dr. Marlene Bouvier in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology seeks to recruit a part-time Hourly Lab Aide to carry out general laboratory maintenance duties such as picking up packages, organizing supplies, washing dishes, maintaining equipment clean, etc. The position will be about 6 (six) hours/week and is open now.

The laboratory of Dr. Gonzalo Izaguirre Ballesteros has openings for undergraduate students interested in doing research work in a biochemistry lab. Priority will be given to students able to dedicate at least five hours per week during the semester and interested in doing a summer internship afterwards.

Emergency Funding for UIC Students

U & I Emergency Fund 

This fund provides temporary, short-term financial assistance to currently enrolled students who are unable to meet essential expenses due to a temporary or unexpected hardship. This emergency funding program is designed to offer financial assistance to students in the form of one-time awards (typically not exceeding $1000). Please be prepared to show documentation supporting claims. 
Examples of expenses typically covered: overdue rent, eviction, medical emergencies, and safety needs. For more information click here
