The fourth annual Call My Name 5K is scheduled for Sunday, February 22, from 8-10 a.m. Proceeds for the event support the ongoing Call My Name research and community initiatives dedicated to telling the stories of Black men, women and children throughout Clemson University’s history.

Dean Steven Marks and his wife Dianne Dunning, associate vice president for strategic initiatives, have established the Jerome “Jerry” Marks Founding Scholarship Endowment for the Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine. The scholarship was founded to honor Marks' father for his dedication to service and love of animals.

The Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its founding. As part of the celebration, Catherine Mobley, a 1984 graduate and emeritus professor, will deliver a guest lecture for the Department’s Insights and Conversations Series tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. in 120 Brackett Hall.

During the 2026 Winter Olympics, athletes will perform amazing feats by leaping off ramps, sliding across ice and spinning through the air. It is also a prime opportunity for physicist and professor Amy Pope to help her students see the Olympic Games as a place where classroom lessons on physics come to life.

A portion of vending machine revenues help fund annual activities not generally supported by departmental operating budgets. Any University department or recognized organization may request funds through February 27 for activities that align with Clemson’s mission and community impact.

Looking for ways to save money and make landscapes more sustainable? Clemson Extension is offering tips through its Harvest the Rain: From Roof to Soil workshop. The hands-on workshop is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, February 20, at the Spartanburg County Extension Office.
