Family Learning Day 2021- LAST DAY to REGISTER- Friday, Feb 5th   

Family Learning Day is an opportunity for 4-H members (grades 5K-13) and community youth to learn a new skill.
Registration is done through 4-H online for all youth participants. Click on the view button by your name, then click on the events tab on the left, and lastly click on the register button to see the project kit sessions. The cost will be $10 per 4-H youth and $12 per community youth participants. Each youth is limited to registering for three(3) Take and Learn Project Kits. Registration will be open from January 22- Feb 5, 2021. Please register early! Sessions may fill up quickly as many have a limited number being offered. The registration window is also shorter than in previous years. 
PLEASE print your invoice from "4-H Online" and mail a CHECK payable to the FdL Co Adult Leaders Assn. (Extension Office, Attn: 4-H, 400 University Drive, RM AE-227, Fond du Lac, WI 54935). Payment must be received by Feb. 19, 2021 to hold your kits.
If there are 3 or more children attending from the same immediate family, the charge for the third and fourth child is reduced by $2.00 each. Discretionary funds are available for those with financial need. Call Pam at the Extension Office, 929-3170 to inquire.
Project kits must be assembled and dropped off at the Extension Office by February 26, 2021. Everything needed to complete the project (with the exception of typical household items - i.e. scissors, rulers, pencils, glue, etc.,) should be included unless noted in the project description.

Wis Southdown Association Starter Ewe Lamb Program

Purpose:  To promote youth involvement with Southdown sheep in Wisconsin by awarding youth with a quality registered ewe lamb to begin their flocks.

Who is Eligible?: Wisconsin youth ages 11-16 enrolled in 4-H or FFA who do not already own Southdown sheep. Now accepting applications for the 2021 starter ewe program.
Applicants or family of applicants must not already breed Southdowns. To apply, please go to https://www.wisconsinsouthdowns.com/starter-ewe to download an application. Interested applicants should submit their application postmarked by March 1, 2021 to Kelly Vierck, N5690 County Road M, Juneau, WI 53039, or rosehillsouthdowns@gmail.com. Ewe lambs will be awarded at the 2021 Wisconsin Southdown Association’s Annual Wisconsin Stars Sale and Symposium.

Virtual Project Lessons

Mark your calendar for Monday, February 15, Wednesday, February 24, and Tuesday, March 2! Each date will feature a lesson on a different project area. These opportunities are being led by Fond du Lac, Ozaukee, and Washington County Educators, but will be available to youth state-wide. These are similar to how sessions were offered this summer and during Fall Forum! Click here to register for any or all of the sessions! **These are different from Family Learning Day Take and Learn Kits! 
Project Descriptions
STEM- You will develop, design, and test a parachute that meets the design challenge of carrying one metal washer to the ground. Are you up to the challenge? Enjoy a taste of STEM while designing, building, and testing out your parachute design. Adult joining us will see how to replicate a virtual project meeting. We cannot wait to see your parachute creations!
WELLNESS- You will make a glitter calming jar and learn how it can be used to help you calm down and process your emotions.
ART- Monoprinting techniques can include combining artistic methods and multimedia such as painting and drawing with lithography, etching, or woodcut. Monoprints are unique, spontaneous, and expressive, allowing more scope for abstract compositions and more detailed prints than other types of printing.

MARCH 2 - Explore Monoprinting Techniques - CLASS is FULL!

Simple as Pie

Easy as Pie SPIN Club will teach you that making pie really is easy as pie! Each Tuesday Night, you will learn a new type of pie ranging from a basic pie with a cracker crust advancing your way to a more detailed pie. The program will meet at 7:30 pm and all materials are the responsibility of the participants. Registration is limited to one hundred youth in grades 6 and up (do not have to be 4-H) and can be done in 4-HOnline. Sessions will be recorded and available after each night.

Visual Arts Festival Registration

Service Learning Project: Making Valentines

Teen Leaders Association(TLA) met at the end of January. At their January meeting, the 9 youth in attendance together made 61 cards for Harbor Haven Health & Rehabilitation resisents. TLA challenges your clubs to see how many valentine cards your club can make and send out to local nursing homes! If your club wants to participate in the challenge, send a picture of your cards and a total number of cards made by your club! 
Any youth member who has finished 6th grade can join TLA. There isn't a registration or an extra form to fill out. Just simply email Tina Engelhardt about information for the next meeting. TLA is meeting in-person as well as virtually. The group is limited to the number of people who can meet in person, so please be sure to RSVP for the next meeting to save your spot! The next meeting is Monday, February 22 at 7:00 pm in-person at Rolling Meadows Meeting Room and via Zoom.  

STATE ART TEAMS Deadline Extended FEB 15

Deadline extended for the State 4-H Arts Teams! Youth in grades 9-13 are invited to apply for a position on the Art Team, Communications Team, or Drama Company for 2021! These statewide arts opportunities are a great way to expand your art skills, leadership skills, meet new people, and have fun!
