Sometimes life throws us curveballs, and we've all had plenty of those...

Depending on where you pre-ordered the book, your pre-order may be cancelled. Or it may stay "live" and simply move to the new release date of October 6.
I sincerely regret any inconvenience—or disappointment—this delay may cause and hope that, come October 6th, you’ll still be eager to read Colors of Truth, the second full-length Carnton novel.
Colors of Truth is a story that honors the fight for racial reconciliation and that’s founded on an abhorrence for the institution of slavery—both historically and current day.
It’s a novel about the profound difference that telling the truth can make in your life—telling the truth to yourself, to others, and to God.
God dealt with me quite firmly on this as I wrote this book. The experience was painful, needed, and ultimately freeing—as his hand of mercy in growing and shaping us always is. More on that experience in coming days.
In a world where many deem truth as relative, believers in Christ know differently. There is only one Truth, and it is embodied in the person and Lordship of Christ and in the Living Word of God...The Bible.
This is a time for living that faith "out loud." For asking Jesus to help us to see through lies and deception, to love each other as he loves, and to stand firm on the truth of the Gospel of Christ.
No matter how disturbing, we must never ignore history or pretend it didn’t happen. Instead, we need to acknowledge the sins of our forefathers and foremothers, place those sins firmly in the light of Truth, and learn from the mistakes of our past while vowing never to repeat them.
But the sin of oppression isn’t relegated to the past. And when we as individuals and as a society see this age-old hatred and evil rising up, we must resolve with fierce determination to act—and to boldly speak God’s truth against it.
Because the ground at the foot of the cross of Christ is level. "Every nation, tribe, people, and language…" That’s been God’s unstoppable plan from the very beginning (Revelation 7:9), and we are all one in Christ (Galatians 3:28).
May our lives be marked by compassion, may forgiveness be like breathing, and may the name of Jesus be glorified in all we think, say, and do.
I'm grateful to be on this journey with you. If you have a minute, I'd love to hear about what's happening in your corner of this ever-changing world.

Until next time, grace and peace—
Tamera
