We Put the Back to Cool in Back to School!
Here Comes Fall at School of Rock Vienna!!


We are THRILLED to announce that School of Rock continues to be the leader in music education, and this fall we will be taking things to a whole new level!  Our mission has always been to get our students playing faster and becoming true musicians as they move through our programs, or, in other words, to offer real music education as opposed to just taking lessons.  To that end, we are rolling out two exciting new tools to our active students:  

1) Our newly minted proprietary lesson books which cover the gamut on skills, performance and more; and,

2) Our new School of Rock Lesson interactive App that will make at-home practice more meaningful.

These two new proprietary tools are the culmination of many years of music education experience through private teaching and group direction, and are built by real music professionals from our vast School of Rock network and the power of our new partnership with Hal Leonard.   This truly represents our commitment to bringing our students world class best practices that support their musical learning and goals.  We are so proud to be able to add this next level, cutting edge approach to our teaching practices and we hope you are as excited as we are!  Stay tuned for more information coming soon!

Fall Programs are Enrolling NOW! 

Did you take a break for the summer or looking to start your musical journey this fall? Well don't wait until September, give us a call and reserve your spot now! We are currently enrolling new and returning students for Private Lessons, Rookies, Rock 101, and our Fall Performance Programs. With so many current, new, and returning students, the schedule will fill up fast. So don't get left out in the cold!

It's Official - School of Rock Is #1 in Music Education

We are thrilled to announce that School of Rock was voted the #1 Muisc Education program in the Washington DC area by a huge margin in the Washington Families Best for Families poll!  We are grateful to our wonderful customers and fans for taking the time to vote and help us spread the word about our work here at School of Rock.  We have some exciting new things coming out this year to enhance our programs, lessons and student experience.  We've only just begun!  Thanks everyone!
It's Back To School of Rock Time!

Hard to believe that summer is almost over and for parents that means getting all the fall activities and schedules going.  Our lesson schedule is filling up unusually early this year, so we urge returning families to call sooner rather than later so you can get the lesson time and instructor you desire.  We allow you to hold a lesson slot for two weeks prior to your start date so be sure to plan ahead.  See you soon!

Get Ready to Rock Our Woodstock 50th Anniversary Celebration


What?  Yes it true - Woodstock turns 50 this summer.  We are partnering with Bluemont Vineyard for a great day of music.  All our summer 2019 Battle of the Bands students, JV & House Band students, as well as our Adult Grad School program students will get to participate in this free extra performance.  Parents and friends, enjoy the stunning vistas, a delicious glass of wine and the yummy menu that will be created just for this occasion.  All are welcome!

We Had a Great Time Rocking Out with Schools of Rock Chapel Hill, Virginia Beach, Easton, Allentown, Huntington & Rockville Centre!

It was so much fun to host our visiting School of Rock'ers and perform together at Dangerously Delicious Pies and 3 Stars Brewing Company in DC over the 4th of July Holiday! We hope they had as much fun jamming as we did and will come visit us again soon!!  Check out these pics from 3 Stars!

All Stars Summer Tour 2019

Our School of Rock AllStar Krissy Kaminski just wrapped up her epic tour of Texas and Louisiana with the School of Rock AllStars Team 3! Krissy rocked stages at Main at South Side in Fort Worth, Sam's Burger Joint in San Antonio, Music Hall3Ten at Austin City Limits Live, House of Blues Houston, 535 Warehouse in Lafayette, and House of Blues Dallas! What is your favorite thing about School of Rock Vienna?
My favorite thing about School of Rock Vienna is getting to play my favorite songs and performing with my friends.
What is one of your favorite things you’ve learned from your time here so far?
My favorite thing I have learned at School of Rock is how to work in a group setting/band.
What advice would you give to all the new SOR student musicians? 
Don't compare yourself to other musicians.

5. Black Sabbath
If you could be in any band or artist (past or present) who would it be and why?
I would be in Queen because I love 70s-80s music and I think they are a really unique band.
