Monday, Mid-West Family Radio flipped the format on their Sports/WSJM (1400am, St. Joseph, Michigan) and translator W291DK (106.1fm, St. Joseph, Michigan) to alternative, as "QYQ." Programmed for the ages 20 to 40 demographic, QYQ features artists such as 21 Pilots, Billie Eilish, Imagine Dragons, and Panic! at the Disco.
Northwest
Allen Media Broadcasting's WLFI-TV welcomes Gary Yoder as VP/GM. Mr. Yoder most recently worked in the Mobile, Alabama/Pensacola, Florida TV market, leading WALA-TV (Fox 10) for nearly a decade. Around the Midwest, Mr. Yoder also spent 15 years in Toledo (WUPW-TV; Fox 36), rising to GM.
Central
Cumulus' Rock/WNDX (93.9fm, Lawrence) morning host Abe Kanan exits; the result of COVID-19 talent reductions. Mr. Kanan did mornings at "93.9X" since last fall. (IRW, 08/19/2019)
Radio America syndicates a new syndicated show: "Eat!, Drink!, Smoke!" (A show about "fine cigars, excellent bourbon, and interesting food.") Tony Katz hosts this show, along with continuing his morning show host responsibilities at Emmis' N-T/WIBC (93.1fm, Indianapolis).

Hanna Mordoh joins Circle City Broadcasting's CW affiliate/WISH-TV (Channel 8, Indianapolis) as part of their morning team. Ms. Mordoh last worked for WVIT-TV (NBC Connecticut) in the Hartford DMA.
Where Are They Now? Former WXIN-TV reporter Cody Thelen becomes a morning news anchor for KWTV-TV in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (CBS).
