Follow our daily Facebook Devotions to get the most out of this Advent season.  We post a verse to read daily, along with an idea to ponder and a call to action.  This year, let's learn together how to wait, not passively, but actively preparing for the coming of God in our midst!
All around us, artificial lights blink and advertisements remind us that we should be filled with cheer at this time of year.  But the reality is, life is sometimes filled with sadness and grief, illness, worry or stress.  This Sunday evening, we're offering a "Blue Christmas" service sensitive to the needs of those whose hearts are heavy for whatever reason.  Please invite anyone you think would receive a blessing from simply being able to gather for prayer, candlelight and communion with no pretense; vulnerable and humble just as Jesus became vulnerable and humble for us. As a church family, we want to share in both the highs and lows of life, the joys and the tears. You can help us share God's love by joining us Sunday at 5:00 pm to surround those who are hurting with your love, prayers and support.

We are so grateful for the talent and dedication of our choir EVERY Sunday, but what a gift we all received in last week's cantata!  Thank you all for once again filling our hearts with the message of Christ through song!

From Sunday's early morning Dedication of handmade slippers and booties, to the evening's Youth Christmas Party and "Tacky Sock Exchange", it was a day of warm hearts and warm toes!  We so appreciate Shelley Powers and Ann Weissenborn, along with all of the talented women of the Yarn Ministry, who lovingly created beautiful footwear for the residents of St. Dominic's Eldercare unit.  Special thanks also to Isabella Reynolds' family, who opened their home for a wonderful and well-attended youth party. Keep your eyes open to spot some crazy socks around PHUMC in the coming weeks!
