Caring for our college students

College finals are coming, which means it's time to make sure our college students know they're loved and supported. Register your student (or yourself, if you're in college) here by noon on Monday, December 2, to receive a care package from PHUMC.
PHUMC Women's Ministry has chosen MadCAAP's Holiday Adopt a Child for their Christmas mission. Every year MadCAAP aids with Christmas presents for children whose parents have completed 12 hours of an educational program provided by MadCAAP. This year they had nearly 600 children eligible. We have 28 of those names. To help, pick up an envelope in the back of the worship center. It includes directions and the information of the child.
Deliver your wrapped, labeled gifts to MadCAAP December 14/9:00-4:00; December 16 10:00-4:00, 17 or 18/9:00-4:00. If you need assistance getting your gifts to MadCAAP, let Pastor Dawn know.
Calling all Kids, Bridge, Youth, and anyone who loves to watch Christmas movies. Join us on the lawn at Parkway Hills Sunday, December 8 at 4:30 pm for party food, Christmas movies, reindeer food packing, and a Christmas craft (weather permitting).

Bring a blanket or chair and invite a friend.  Parents of children 5th grade and under must remain with their children. Choir friends, we know you will be practicing so you will be excused (and we can't wait for the Cantata!). Check the newsletter next week to see how you can aid with food.
The celebration continues with the East Flora Elementary teachers and staff in receiving their A rating this year. Volunteer with us on Saturday, December 14 to serve the meal for the East Flora Elementary Banquet. We will need 5 volunteers to serve for this event. We will meet at the church at 5 p.m. on Saturday to carpool to East Flora Elementary School. We will be back at the church by 8 p.m. Please let Haven know if you can volunteer by using this link to sign up by December 10.

Save the Date!
Join us on March 29th, 2025 for the Race for Grace Place 5K/Fun Run! Every step you take helps provide meals, clothing, worship opportunities, and much-needed support to our friends at Grace Place.

'Tis the season to be practicing for our Christmas worship services!

We'll continue to practice at 9:30 am in the Garden Room Sunday. Kids ages 3 through 5th grade are learning songs with our Music Director, David White, for the Children's Christmas service on Dec. 8 and to join the adults for the choir cantata on Dec. 15.
After our singing time, the children will move into age-appropriate Sunday School classes. We always need volunteers to aid with our kids ministry.

Be sure and thank these beautiful people when you see them. They did all the decorating in both our buildings for Christmas. What a gift to us all!
